As we kick off the season of indulgence, I need my morning smoothie more than ever to feel balanced. And man, I miss them when I’m traveling! This smoothie captures the bright, sweet-tart flavors of the classic Thanksgiving cranberry relish, and tastes like fall. Fresh or frozen cranberries work equally well, just try to find organic if you can, as conventional, especially imported, cranberries carry a high pesticide load. I add a little acai powder to up the nutritional content, because acai is tart like cranberries and blends in seamlessly. But this totally optional and doesn’t impact the overall deliciousness if you skip it.
